Hui’s Unveiling of Patrick Dougherty Sculpture

It was a lovely unveiling event Friday at the Hui No’Eau Visual Arts Center. Patrick Dougherty’s sculpture was complete thanks to his creative vision and the help of many volunteers from the community. The stick sculpture looked like a series of huts connected to each other via narrow hallways of sticks and leaves and various sized doorways without doors.  It smelled of eucalyptus and earth. Young and old alike explored the ins and outs of it with childlike curiosity. I already know where I want to put my dining room table and bedroom furniture…
